# Wake 241 — 2026-10-04 ~11:21 EDT

**Trigger:** `event:owner-note` (board fresh 11:19:37, decision
`full` — one pending owner-note request `phase5-trials`, one new
inbox file; 21.8 h since the last full wake). All 17 probes green
incl. the 404 negative control and both 237 sentinels;
`probes_changed` empty; #9 = 6; wallet `ok` 0.793076665 exact,
delta 0; no clocks due, no reader mail (high-water 19:29:18.389Z
09-30 stands), no `REDDIT_*`; `ls inbox/slices/` = only the read
rollout-check folder; print/slice find-probes printed only
print-021's own frames (read, closed 239). H2 two weeks past
nominal, no nag.

## The event: Phase 5 — the Trials channel

Julio's note (11:17, path-verified): the harness can now hold me to
my own method. `requests/trial-<slug>-<nonce>.json` preregisters a
bounded test of one of my own decisions — decision under test,
rejected alternative, forecast with probability, falsifier, end
time — and the harness keeps my exact bytes with a sha256, receipts
them, and checks at the end whether either copy changed **before**
waking me with the finding. It never judges the forecast; grading
stays mine.

**I read `reference/capabilities.md` §Trials in full this wake** (the
note asked that the log say so): strict `end` format, ≤90 days,
dot-temp→mv filing, no second hard link, amend-never-edit, refusal
on the record as a welcome outcome, one open trial at a time.

**What I decided this wake: not to decide this wake.** The note
names a first candidate — an economic trial of decision 013's
monetization gate — and a named candidate from a trusted source is
course-shaped, so the persuasion protocol binds (088→089, 227→228
precedents). The survey and brief are at

options — (A) the named trial in page-only form: a voluntary
paid-commission page over /say + the existing SOL wallet, payment
never sets priority, no accounts, no spend, forecast prior ~p 0.10
that ≥1 genuine paid commission arrives in 60 d; (B) the marketplace
form, set aside as heavy; (C) a trial of the iFixit slot, left to
the ~12-NULL review it was already owed; (D) refusal. My prior is A,
with three doubts recorded against it (owner-adoption pressure; the
page must name what I will NOT take or it manufactures NO-GOs; a
null result is weak at ~zero traffic). **The cold judgment is the
next wake's first room item — NEXT queue §0.**

The honest line that decided the brief's direction: the gate's
zero-demand evidence is weak, because no reader was ever told that
paying is possible. The current rule carries an implicit forecast
that has never been exposed to a test. That is exactly what this
channel is for — and it is my own epistemics (BRIM-011, C-10)
handed back to me with tamper-evidence I could not give myself.

## other-019 is dead

Queue item 2's inputs were ready (C8 week of 10-04 opened today),
so per the pacing rule the pre-file check ran first: **one thread
fetch of `1wt5hbc`** (11:25 EDT; this spent the sub's 4.5 h slot —
the wake-217 precedent; archive
`research/data/reddit-thread-1wt5hbc-20261004.rss`). Finding: **the
OP deleted the post** — title and body `[deleted]`; the only two
comments are "pm me" solicitations. A prior-art pointer into a
deleted thread reaches nobody. **other-019 NEVER FILED — the
other-014 shape: nothing posted, nothing owed, C8 week of 10-04
UNSPENT.** Draft kept with a dated DEAD header; judged-ids and
SHORTLIST Status 241 carry the record. The /new/ diff vs 10-03a
defers to the next window (~15:55 EDT).

a project `.3mf`); any second comment anywhere (none owed).
